Bubbly Clay Texture

Studio Memberships

We offer a studio membership to experienced ceramicists who want access to the space but don't necessarily need the classroom setting or just need a more flexible schedule and freedom to create.  While we welcome all walks of life we do want to make sure every member has a pleasant experience so we do have an application for membership. For more information or to start the application process please fill out the form below.

Please note we do REQUIRE you to have taken a full 6 week class with us prior to applying.  This is to insure you know everything you need to know prior to operating solo in the studio and that our studio is a good fit for you.  We try to have the membership info as comprehensive as possible, but likely forgot some detail.  Please reach out with any questions you may have.

Membership Information:

  • All applicants must have taken classes with us or do an interview process to be eligible for membership.  This is to ensure that you have a good understanding of ceramics as the membership hours won't always have one of our experienced potters available.

  • We are a proud distributor of Mammoth Clay and work closely with them.  To ensure quality control all clay used in our studio can be purchased with us directly. Curious what they have to offer? Check our their clay bodies here Mammoth Clay.

  • You can bring and use outside clay.  However, firing fees are separate and the clay body must be approved for the correct firing.

  • We make all our glazes in house but we do allow use of commercial glazes upon approval for kiln compatibility, however we don't provide commercial glaze.

  • Every studio manages firing fees differently, we have choses to try keep it as simple as possible.  We have a $25 firing fee for each 25lb bag of new clay (we do offer recycled clay at a significant discount) That fee covers bisque firing, use of in-house glaze, and glaze firing. Outside (Non Mammoth) clay firing fees are 2lbs.  Our firing fees include all of the firing we offer.  Cone 6: Oxidation, Reduction, and Salt.  Cone 10: Reduction, and Salt.  Raku firings: Traditional, Naked, Horse Hair, Tin Foil Sagger, and Obvara.
